Case Summary

I created a comprehensive UI/UX website audit for the Breast Cancer Foundation in Singapore, focusing on delivering actionable insights and recommendations to improve the user experience. The audit aimed to enhance both the usability and performance of the website to better serve their audience.

Challenge

• Understanding the unique needs of the website’s target audience while ensuring that the design remains aligned with the foundation’s mission and values.

• Balancing the aesthetic appeal of the website with the functionality and accessibility required for a broad demographic, including users with varying levels of digital literacy.

• Identifying areas for improvement in the website’s user flow, ensuring seamless navigation, and optimizing for mobile devices to improve accessibility and engagement.

Process

• Dive deep into the website performance data using tools like PageSpeed Insights to evaluate load times, responsiveness, and other performance-related factors.

• Extract actionable insights from the data gathered, such as areas of improvement in speed and responsiveness.

• Conduct a heuristic evaluation of the website, identifying usability issues based on best practices. These findings were then categorized and prioritized to highlight critical improvements.

• Provide a set of tailored recommendations for UI/UX enhancements, addressing both design and performance issues uncovered in the audit.

• Create two distinct website mockups, each offering a unique design solution, allowing the client to choose the direction that best aligns with their goals.

Result

The audit resulted in a detailed set of recommendations aimed at improving both the visual appeal and user experience of the website. Two design mockups were presented, providing the Breast Cancer Foundation with clear options to further enhance their online presence.
