Ca‌se Summary

The goal of this project was to redesign a Human Resource Management (HRM) mobile application to improve its user interface and user experience.

Challenge

The existing HRM mobile application had a complex user interface, was outdated, and provided a poor user experience, resulting in low user engagement and limited adoption by employees. The objective was to design a visually appealing, intuitive, and user-friendly mobile application that would promote employee engagement and enhance the overall HRM process.

Process

• The first step was to conduct user surveys of the current application to identify key areas for improvement. This was followed by the creation of mock-ups and high-fidelity prototypes for the new HRM app. After analyzing feedback, a comprehensive design brief was created, outlining objectives and desired outcomes for the redesigned HRM mobile application.

• Next, competitor research was conducted to identify industry practices, strengths, and weaknesses to incorporate into the app. User flows for features were created, and collaboration with the business analysis team ensured finalization of the flow.

• The final design included an intuitive user interface that was easy to navigate, visually appealing, and engaging. Clear and concise instructions were provided for each task.

• Additionally, new features such as an employee directory, leave management system, and news/event center for employee updates were incorporated. The attendance check-in/check-out feature was optimized to make it convenient for daily use. The app also sends reminders before check-in/check-out time to ensure users don’t miss a working-day record.

Re‌sult

The redesigned HRM mobile application received positive feedback from employees. It provided a more efficient, user-friendly, and engaging HRM process for the organization
